The Future Games Show Summer Showcase 2026 and FGS Live From Los Angeles delivered a packed double-feature presentation on June 6, featuring more than 40 games from AAA publishers and independent studios, including 11 world premieres, multiple surprise announcements, and an extended gameplay presentation for the upcoming sci-fi RPG EXODUS.
Hosted by industry veterans Alix Wilton Regan and Troy Baker, this year’s showcase covered everything from major franchise returns and horror experiences to strategy games, RPGs, platformers, extraction shooters, and indie surprises.
Biggest Highlights From The Main Showcase
Several major reveals immediately stood out during the event:
Arizona Sunshine Returns Beyond VR
The showcase opened with the world premiere of Arizona Sunshine, a flatscreen remake of the popular VR zombie shooter, bringing the undead apocalypse to traditional PC and console audiences.
Ace Combat 8 Finally Revealed
Bandai Namco offered a closer look at ACE COMBAT 8: Wings of Theve, confirming its arrival on PC and consoles on October 2, 2026. The new installment continues the franchise’s signature high-speed aerial combat and cinematic storytelling.
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Returns
Ubisoft officially showcased Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, a modern reimagining of Edward Kenway’s pirate adventure. The remake launches July 9, 2026, across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Tomb Raider’s Origins Reimagined
Crystal Dynamics shared new details about Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a full reimagining of Lara Croft’s original adventure, scheduled for release on February 12, 2027.

The event concluded with an extensive gameplay deep dive into EXODUS, Archetype Entertainment’s highly anticipated sci-fi RPG. The presentation highlighted narrative choices, companions, exploration, and combat systems ahead of its planned early 2027 launch.

A charming new Metroidvania starring an armed snail exploring a dangerous medieval world.
